Pat’s first formal training was with Aeron McBride on the lower mainland, in the late 70’s early 80’s. This was instrumental in Pat’s early development of basic theory and colour.
Pat became a member of the Artist Co-Op in 1988. Her preferred medium is oil and she finds portraiture the most challenging and rewarding subject to master.
Painting for Pat is a passion. It’s like being in another dimension. In this quiet, peaceful place time seems to stand still and hours will pass in the blink of an eye.
Pat has been fortunate to have 3 pieces chosen for the B.C. Festival of the Arts; 2 honourable mentions and 1 piece that travelled to Nanaimo for further display.
Pat finds her inspiration in life, people and her surroundings. Teaching is also an inspiration when students become excited and passionate about what they are accomplishing in their works. Her wish is to continue painting for as long as she is able.CLICK TO VIEW PAT’S ART
