Thursday November 30th the shop will be open at 9 am for the grand finale for our feature artist, Maureen Faulkner. Start your morning off inspired, take a great break from work, come have coffee, tea and snacks and enjoy the “2016 – 366 Paintings a Day” (it was a leap year).
Maureen does not attempt to reproduce life in a photographic sense; more like a poem, loaded with meaning that the viewer plays with to find personal meaning. If you are looking for something exciting and fresh you’ll find it here.
Each month has it’s own folder full of art and is waiting for you to adventure through the pages. While you’re perusing the paintings you can stop and ask her about the image, she’ll tell you what was behind the inspiration for it. With the gallery atmosphere set to warm and cozy you can really relax and enjoy art.
Starting with January her watercolour pieces began as 1″ x 1″ squares on a large sheet of archival paper. Each month they grew an inch wide and an inch tall all the way to December’s 12″x 12″. You can pick a date that is meaningful to you and find your image, or select a few to mix and match for your own decor or gifts. Prices vary with sizes and range from $50-$200.
